Description

also drew this in my notebook. hense the lines.

I love his flamboyancy in Tree of Tranquility.:D He's a metal-smith (according to the ToT manual) he works at the accessory store. (Ramsy's blacksmiths in TOT.) He's pretty fun to talk to, I can't really explain it but it's worth it to give this fabulous guy a shot.:)

I'm trying to get better at drawing Julius. I have problems with drawing his skirt thing, it's kinda difficult to draw right.

(might put this in my scraps later. I dunno.)

Julius , Harvest Moon (c) Natsume.

Interesting. This shows depth. The shading is well done based on an assumed light source (overhead and slightly front) and there's just enough shading to give the impression of being a live character. I like the detail spent in the creasing, the ruffled detail on the tunic, and the buttons help finish the tunic.

Drapery is a tricky thing- especially ruffles- I am unsure of what's under the tunic- a frilled peasant shirt? Or is it part of the tunic's lining? I like where it goes- I just see the ruffles falling a little longer before finishing. To add further depth, maybe do some shading under the tunic on the overflow of fabric beneath?

I did see that maybe the hair needs highlighting since the source of light is going to fall from above and ahead of the subject...? The strands add texture- if a bit darker shading was added in the layers least exposed to light it would allow for the hair to have body- just enough to where the hair has its own character stand out.

Overall it's a very good piece even as a doodle.
